the new website is up!


So, I flipped the switch on the new Unit Circle Rekkids site. There are some permanent changes and some temporary ones.

First of all, you'll notice that the site itself is significantly simpler. It was too much of a pain to update the ontour and news pages when I've got this blog that accomplishes the same functions and is easier to update. Those pages are now gone.

On a more significant note, I've also removed all the audio and video files. This is temporary. Most of the old ones were recorded in ancient formats and were so low bandwidth that no one bothered listening to them anyway. I'm either going to just upload them as mp3 clips or low-bitrate mp3s or have a little flash jukebox to play them or something. I'm just going to make the videos downloadable quicktime probably since there aren't many of them.

One thing I noticed when I was updating the pages was how many cool music magazines have bit the dust. The indie music world is in a constant state of turnover, so it shouldn't be so surprising, but it is still sad to see so many fine publications go.
