What this blog is about...

The rationale behind this whole shebang

When I first started making music in my bedroom, I used a boom box to record and my stereo to allow me to overdub, a poor man's four track. That was the days before computers could even do MIDI, let alone audio. In college, I was able to get access to a "computer music lab" with a Mac Plus running Performer, a 8 track analog reel to reel and a slew of early digital synths. Those days are long gone, but I still have a lot of my 80s and 90s gear.

I'm always on the lookout for new software and hardware that can make the trip from my head to my ears happen faster. This blog allows me to spread the news about the cool stuff I find.
